📏The Coorest Carbon Standard (CCS)

The Coorest Carbon Standard is the first certified standard for blockchain-based CO2 compensation powered by smart contracts and satellite data. This new standard focuses on the carbon sequestration additionality and biodiversity of projects onboarded by Coorest. Newly planted trees that restore and enhance local environments and economies are the vocal point within the CCS. All onboarded projects are monitored via satellite data and registered in the CCS registry. Carbon sequestration is calculated based on above-ground biomass, below-ground biomass, and soil organic carbon. To ensure over-collateralization of CO2 tokens, all onboarded projects are required to plant an additional 10% of each plant species, or to leave 10% of each plant species without tokenization.
