Step 7: Tokenization of Sequestered CO2

Sequestered CO2 is converted into Coorest Carbon $CCO2 tokens in a ratio of one (1) $CCO2 Token for every one (1) kilogram of CO2 absorbed by a tree:

• 1 Kg Sequestered CO2 = 1 $CCO2 Token

$CCO2 tokens are issued in proportion to the average yearly CO2 sequestration of a given tree. The $CCO2 tokens are taken out of circulation the moment a token holder “compensates” them and obtains a Proof of Carbon Compensation, in order to avoid double counting of $CCO2 tokens.
